The Artist Behind the Art

Hello folks,
I deleted my last post because it so bored me to death and I literally despised it. So I am going to start over introducing myself. My name is Valerie Hamilton and I am the artist behind the work that you are browsing and that I do hope you enjoy. I am a southern born and raised Georgia peach but please do not automatically put me in any class because of where I was raised. I despise classes and everything associated with them. I like open-mindedness but I do have standards. Variety makes life intersting and uniqueness is the spice of life. However,i should probably stop with the proverbs and officially get started with the purpose of this post. I am going to use this post to address questions that people often ask me when they find out I am an artist.

One of the first questions I get asked is: what inspires me? The answer to that question is long-listed but I will summarize, I promise. I am inspired by nature first of all; after all it has the greatest designer. Second of all, I am inspired by other artists. I have a passion for minimalist pieces, line-art, pop art, and most of all black and white, high contrast portraits.

So you will probably notice that is the type of art I usually create.
The second question I usually get is: what is your medium/ media? The answer is-everything! I generally start off with a light graphite and overlay it with an ink tool and sometimes watercolours, etc. And I'm always trying something new.

I'm only going to cover those two popular questions, if you have more feel free to shoot me an email.

Peace lovely people,
Valerie at giggleArt
